Saturday Easy Run . . Not So Easy

My internet has been out so I'm a couple days late posting this. Saturday was my easy run in what was supposed to be an easy week. It was perfect weather for being outside in general, but a little warm for running. I went to a trail that goes along the Potomac, a perfect place for a run. The only downside is that I don't know how far I've run, so I run for time.

I planned on running 27 minutes out (9 minutes x 3) and then back. I finished, but it was torturous and here's why. First, I, like Phil have been having some minor hip pain, which is more annoying than anything. Second, I had a sideache the whole time. I should not be getting sideaches anymore, right? I mean, I've been running regularly for a while now. What's wrong, Justus? Third, I think my legs have developed permatigue. (I just made that up, so don't google it.) My legs are always fatigued and seem to never fully recover. But that is now usual for my runs now, and I should stop complaining. What made my run awful, though, was about 2 miles in a bug flew into my mouth and got stuck in my throat. I started gagging, which didn't help my side aches. I didn't bring water, so I had to run the rest of the time feeling it in my throat. Disgusting. It was such a relief to finally get home and drink something to wash it down.

All in all, it could have been a better run, but at least I put in the miles.

27 minutes out
25 minutes back
6.5 miles?

I dont know what is causing your permatigue. I also have been having that a little lately. I have been trying to do some research. I know I dont eat enough red meat which is one thing they suggest for that kind of fatigue. Maybe some iron supplement? I will keep looking.
